Modon Holding And LuLu Retail Join Forces To Develop Hypermarkets In UAE And Egypt

Modon Holding has entered into a partnership with LuLu Retail to establish and manage hypermarkets and other retail facilities in the UAE and Egypt. This collaboration aims to leverage Modon Holding's expertise in large-scale project development to deliver community-focused retail solutions. These will include hypermarkets, supermarkets, and various retail outlets operated by LuLu across Modon's future projects in the UAE and Egypt, which are expected to serve millions of residents.

The agreement was formalised through a memorandum of understanding (MoU). It involves exploring high-potential locations for retail expansion, implementing smart retail solutions, enhancing logistics infrastructure, and improving customer experiences with innovative technologies. A dedicated working committee from both companies will oversee the collaboration, focusing on communication and identifying potential projects and initiatives.

This committee aims to facilitate expertise sharing, optimise operations, and maximise benefits for both parties involved. The partnership is designed to ensure that both Modon Holding and LuLu Retail can effectively collaborate on future projects. This includes identifying strategic locations for new retail outlets and integrating advanced technologies to enhance the shopping experience.

LuLu Retail is headquartered in Abu Dhabi and is a significant player in the Middle East's retail sector. It operates internationally across 23 countries in the Middle East, Asia, the US, and Europe. LuLu runs 240 stores, including 116 hypermarkets, 102 express stores, and 22 mini markets throughout GCC countries. They source products from 85 countries to ensure year-round availability while mitigating supply risks.
