Tellus Power MENA, UAE’s New EV Infrastructure Manufacturer, Launches Backed By Ministry of Investment

The Ministry of Investment has facilitated a significant joint venture to create Tellus Power MENA, a new electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure manufacturer based in the UAE. This initiative underscores the Ministry's dedication to attracting investments that align with the UAE's focus on advanced manufacturing and sustainable technologies.

The agreement was formalised at the Ministry’s headquarters by Mike Calise, CEO of Tellus Power Globe Holding Limited, and Marius Ciavola, CEO of Sing Family Enterprise Middle East. Witnessing this event were notable figures such as Hessa Al Ghurair from the Ministry of Investment, Hamdan Zakaria Doleh from China Innovation Centre in UAE, Yansong Li of Tellus Power, and Mohammad BinHendi of BinHendi Holding.

UAE Ministry Signs EV Manufacturing Agreement

This collaboration unites BinHendi Holding, an Emirati investment firm focused on mobility energy innovation; Sing Family Enterprise Group, a Chinese family office; and Tellus Power, a California-based EV infrastructure manufacturer. Together, they aim to enhance local production of advanced EV charging solutions in the UAE to meet regional demand.

The joint venture is set to accelerate the adoption of bidirectional vehicle-to-grid technologies across the GCC. This aligns with the UAE’s National Electric Vehicles Policy targeting a 50% EV adoption rate by 2050. The initiative also supports the National Investment Strategy's goal to boost foreign direct investment in renewable energy and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Mohammad Abdulrahman Alhawi from the Ministry of Investment stated that this agreement highlights their commitment to fostering high-value investments that align with national priorities. He emphasised that such partnerships drive innovation and sustainable economic growth in high-growth sectors. The Ministry was instrumental from the start, ensuring smooth negotiations and providing strategic guidance.

Mike Calise expressed enthusiasm about expanding Tellus Power’s global reach through this alliance. He noted that the UAE is becoming a hub for clean tech and smart mobility, making it an ideal location for meeting growing demand across the GCC.

Marius Ciavola shared his vision for making the UAE a centre of excellence for EV charging technology. He expressed gratitude towards the Ministry for its leadership and support, highlighting plans to produce advanced chargers locally and export them globally.

Mohammad BinHendi commented on how this venture reflects their commitment to long-term industrial transformation. By bringing advanced manufacturing capabilities to the region, they aim to lay a foundation for scalable innovation in energy and mobility sectors.

This joint venture not only strengthens ties between international investors but also positions the UAE as a leader in sustainable technology development. It marks an important step towards achieving national goals while fostering economic prosperity through strategic collaborations.
