Ministry Of Higher Education Collaborates With ACEN To Improve Nursing Education Standards In The UAE

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) in the UAE has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) from the United States. This agreement aims to enhance the quality of nursing education in UAE higher education institutions, aligning them with international academic standards and national healthcare goals.

Prof. Amjad Mohd Qandil, Acting Director at MoHESR's Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA), highlighted that this partnership underscores the ministry's dedication to advancing health professions education. "The agreement aligns UAE nursing programmes with international accreditation standards, reinforcing the country's status as a regional hub for medical education," he stated.

The MoU sets a framework for collaboration in developing quality assurance policies for nursing programmes in the UAE.
