Ministry Of Foreign Affairs Concludes Participation In World Crisis And Emergency Management Summit 2025

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently wrapped up its involvement in the World Crisis and Emergency Management Summit (WCEMS) 2025. This event, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), was under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser. The summit focused on enhancing international collaboration in crisis management through discussions and workshops.

Omar Obaid Al Hassan Al Shamsi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighted the Ministry's dedication to a strategic approach that aligns with the leadership’s vision. This strategy prioritises the safety and well-being of UAE citizens by ensuring a secure travel experience globally. The Ministry provides continuous support and quick responses to natural disasters, security crises, or emergencies worldwide.

UAE Ministry Concludes WCEMS 2025 Participation

During the summit, high-level officials visited the Ministry’s pavilion at the "Crisis Management Technologies Exhibition." Notable visitors included Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention; Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Government Cybersecurity Council; and Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili from the Ministry of Interior. They explored various digital services designed to enhance crisis management capabilities.

The Ministry showcased several innovative platforms at this exhibition. The "Early Warning for All" platform, developed with the National Centre of Meteorology, aims to facilitate preventive measures during natural disasters. Another platform, "Rased," focuses on addressing security challenges and improving safety for UAE missions abroad.

Additional services presented included the "UAE Traveler" platform, which offers travel guidance tailored to specific destinations. The "Twajudi" service ensures direct communication with UAE missions worldwide, providing immediate assistance when needed. A 24/7 hotline is also available to address emergencies faced by UAE citizens overseas.

Al Shamsi emphasised that participating as a strategic partner in WCEMS is part of ongoing efforts to share expertise and explore best practices in risk management globally. This summit aimed to present innovative solutions for global challenges by bringing together thought leaders and decision-makers from around the world. By fostering international cooperation in crisis management, it sought to address growing global challenges effectively.
