The Ministry of Finance has obtained the International Accreditation for Future Readiness and Business Agility – Gold/Leading Level from the International Business Agility Institute. The accreditation confirms that the Ministry of Finance meets all core requirements of the global framework for future readiness and business agility. It shows compliance across every sector and department, and reflects consistent performance under what is described as the world’s only internationally accredited model in this specialised field.

MoF earns global agility accreditation

The internationally accredited framework created by the International Business Agility Institute includes 61 standards and 1,500 scoring points. These are spread across several pillars and dimensions that examine strategy, culture, technology, leadership, finance, services, and processes, with a clear focus on organisations’ readiness for future developments and agile delivery.

The framework integrates a Strategic Framework for Future Readiness and Agility and an Operational Framework for Future Readiness and Agility. According to the International Business Agility Institute, these joint elements provide a complete structure for organisations seeking consistent agility, ensuring that long-term plans and day-to-day execution remain aligned and measurable.

The Ministry of Finance has applied this framework as a core operating model. The approach supports its objective to function as a leading and innovative public finance institution, while aligning internal systems and procedures with recognised global practices in strategic management, risk anticipation, digital enablement, and service delivery.

Saeed Rashid Al Yateem, Assistant Undersecretary for Government Budget and Revenue Sector, said, "This international accreditation demonstrates the Ministry of Finance’s commitment to adopting an integrated institutional methodology based on future readiness and agility. This approach plays a key role in strengthening our ability to anticipate changes and manage transformations efficiently, supporting the sustainability of institutional performance in line with a clear strategic vision."

Expanding on this, Al Yateem added, "We view this achievement as a significant milestone in our institutional development journey. Not only does it reinforce a culture of proactive work, but it also enhances the integration of strategic and operational frameworks and reaffirms the Ministry’s commitment to applying global best practices. This aligns with our future aspirations and boosts the efficiency of the government financial ecosystem."

The International Business Agility Institute, based in the United Kingdom, designed the model to assess future readiness and business agility across public and private sectors. It covers all activities and domains, allowing institutions such as the Ministry of Finance to benchmark performance, measure agility, and demonstrate capacity to respond to shifting global economic and policy conditions.

The Ministry of Finance’s recognition at Gold/Leading Level signals that its policies, systems, and culture align with the full range of standards defined by the International Business Agility Institute. This positions the Ministry as an institution that actively prepares for change, manages transformation with clear structures, and sustains government financial performance through agile and future-focused practices.
