The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) is presenting a range of advanced technologies at GITEX GLOBAL 2024. Fahad Al Hammadi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector at MoEI, highlighted that these displays showcase the Ministry's digital transformation journey and its dedication to using cutting-edge technologies to enhance services.

Al Hammadi stated, "The Ministry has a diverse range of digital platforms and innovative services on display. These include the Metaverse platform that has two tracks: one for employees, enabling them to host meetings and events virtually, and the other for customers, enabling them to access the Ministry's services using the UAE Pass."

The Digital Twin Platform is another highlight. It creates precise digital models of assets and facilities, allowing real-time data transfer to simulate operations. This helps in understanding performance better, improving management efficiency, identifying potential issues, and predicting risks. Such innovations are pivotal in enhancing operational capabilities.

Additionally, the Open Data Portal offers more than 200 datasets across 10 key sectors in energy and infrastructure. This portal aims to boost transparency and innovation by providing government and private entities with reliable data for informed decision-making. It underscores MoEI's commitment to fostering an open data culture.

The Data Bridge is also featured at the event. It simplifies customer interactions by reducing required documents and transaction time. The goal is to increase digital document exchange with government entities to 50 by 2025, achieve full digital connectivity, enhance customer satisfaction to 90%, and halve document requirements by next year.

Al Hammadi noted that MoEI's stand includes the Manzili bundle of housing services for beneficiaries of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme. This bundle provides 18 housing services through collaboration with 24 federal and local entities. It simplifies processes by reducing involved entities from 11 to one, documents from 10 to two, procedures from 14 to three steps, and service fields from 32 to five.

The Ministry's participation in GITEX GLOBAL 2024 reflects its ongoing efforts in digital transformation. By showcasing these innovative platforms and services, MoEI aims to improve efficiency, transparency, and customer satisfaction across its operations.
