Ministry Of Energy And Infrastructure To Showcase UAE's EV Initiatives At Electric Vehicles Innovation Summit 2025
The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) is set to participate in the Electric Vehicles Innovation Summit (EVIS 2025). This event, taking place from 21st to 23rd April at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, is recognised as the largest EV gathering in the MENA region. It will feature experts, decision-makers, and representatives from EV manufacturers and solution providers.
At the summit, MoEI will spotlight the UAE's initiatives to bolster EV infrastructure. A key focus will be on UAEV, a joint venture with Etihad Water and Electricity. This initiative aims to establish a nationwide charging network supporting the country's EV goals. The Ministry's efforts align with its commitment to advancing e-mobility solutions.

The Ministry will also host the third edition of the annual EV Majlis during EVIS 2025. This gathering will include CEOs from global EV manufacturers, government stakeholders, and leaders in charging infrastructure. They will discuss sector challenges and work on practical solutions to overcome them. The event aims to foster collaboration among key players in the industry.
Sharif Al Olama, Under-Secretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs at MoEI, stated that developing an integrated infrastructure powered by clean technology is crucial for reducing transport sector emissions. He emphasised that this effort contributes to achieving the UAE’s net-zero target by 2050. The Ministry is actively building partnerships with both government and private sectors.
Al Olama highlighted that EVIS 2025 serves as an excellent platform for forming meaningful partnerships. It showcases cutting-edge EV innovations from around the globe while offering strategic opportunities for the UAE to demonstrate its leadership in sustainable transport solutions both regionally and globally.
The Ministry remains committed to increasing the number of EV chargers across the nation. It is also focused on updating legislative frameworks and encouraging investments in smart mobility solutions. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to enhance e-mobility and support sustainable development goals.
The summit provides an opportunity for stakeholders to engage in discussions about advancing e-mobility solutions. By bringing together industry leaders, it aims to address challenges and explore innovative approaches that can drive progress in the electric vehicle sector.
This event underscores the UAE's dedication to adopting sustainable transport solutions through collaboration and innovation. By participating in EVIS 2025, MoEI reaffirms its role in shaping a cleaner future for transportation within the region.
