Ministry Of Education Introduces Winter Camps For Academic Year 2025-2026 To Enhance Student Skills
The Ministry of Education (MoE) has initiated its winter camps for the 2025-2026 academic year. These camps, running from 8 December 2025 to 4 January 2026, aim to turn vacation time into valuable learning experiences. The initiative supports MoE's vision of equipping students with skills for the future under expert guidance.
Eng. Mohammed Al Qasim, Undersecretary of MoE, stated that these camps convert school breaks into opportunities for growth. "Investing in students is investing in the nation’s future," he said, highlighting the importance of parental involvement and collaboration with partners to create competitive learning environments.

The winter camps are open to students from both public and private schools. They offer diverse programmes across various venues such as schools, training centres, sports facilities, specialised camps, and online platforms. The Ministry collaborates with entities like the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and Dubai Police to deliver these programmes.
This year's camps focus on several key areas including national identity, AI and innovation, sustainable development, positive behaviour, safety, volunteerism, scientific research, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, sports, applied sciences and cultural industries. Specialised programmes also cover talent development and advanced sports training.
Students have the opportunity to explore their talents and develop a love for learning through these camps. They are encouraged to embrace Emirati values while participating in voluntary activities and cultural programmes. This approach aims to shape a proactive generation ready to contribute positively to society.
The Ministry's partnership extends to organisations like the Community Development Authority – Dubai and UAE Girls Guides Association. Additionally, UAE universities and research institutions play a significant role in supporting these educational initiatives.
Specialised programmes include preparation for science Olympiads, food security initiatives, environmental protection efforts, scouting activities, leadership training and advanced sports such as jiu-jitsu and swimming. These offerings aim to enhance students' skills in various fields.
The winter camps not only focus on academic growth but also promote personal development by fostering creativity and independent learning among students. This holistic approach ensures that students are well-prepared for future challenges.
By offering a wide range of activities and learning opportunities during the school break, the Ministry aims to create an enriching environment that nurtures young minds. This initiative reflects MoE's commitment to developing a capable generation equipped with essential skills for the future.
