The Ministry of Culture recently initiated the Creative Careers Programme, collaborating with the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council "Nafis" at Ajman Cultural Center – Al Jurf. This inaugural meeting marks a significant step in enhancing Emirati skills in creative, cultural, and artistic domains. The programme aims to develop a workforce that aligns with private sector demands.
With participation from 20 private companies, this event presents over 800 job opportunities for talented Emiratis in arts and culture. It supports the leadership's vision of nurturing young national talents and promoting a diversified knowledge-based economy.

Mubarak Al Nakhi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, stated, "The Ministry is committed to translating the leadership’s vision of investing in young talents of both genders, empowering them, and harnessing their skills within the cultural and creative industries." He emphasised that this sector significantly contributes to the national economy by offering diverse opportunities aligned with youth aspirations.
Al Nakhi further explained that the Creative Careers Programme provides a platform for young national talents to play a crucial role in the expanding cultural and creative sector locally, regionally, and globally. Recognising this sector as a key economic driver, the UAE focuses on its growth as a form of soft power.
The initiative involves collaboration with various private sector partners to attract talented Emiratis. This partnership aims to empower them to innovate and contribute meaningfully to the labour market. The programme supports UAE's ambition to establish itself as a leading global cultural hub.
The Creative Careers Programme includes participation from numerous local and federal entities, private companies, free zones, universities, and recruitment firms. Specifically, it involves 20 private companies, 5 free zones, recruitment agencies, and 22 universities and colleges.
Diverse Opportunities for Job Seekers
This initiative offers job seekers diverse options within the cultural and creative industries sector. It provides opportunities for both genders to engage actively in the labour market. By fostering talent in these fields, the programme strengthens both cultural and economic landscapes.
This strategic move aligns with UAE's vision of leveraging its cultural sector as an economic catalyst. By investing in young talents through such programmes, the nation aims to enhance its global standing while supporting youth aspirations in arts and culture.
