MIG Holding And National Industries Park Launch Safetech, The Largest Precast Concrete Factory In The Middle East

MIG Holding and National Industries Park (NIP), part of DP World, have launched 'Safetech', the largest precast concrete facility in the Middle East. This expansive factory covers 2.2 million square feet, featuring a 750,000-square-foot production area and an 800,000-square-foot storage yard. It boasts an annual production capacity exceeding 700,000 cubic metres.

Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC, and Abdul Halim Muwahid, Chairman of MIG Holding and Safetech, attended the inauguration ceremony. Muwahid highlighted the factory's role in advancing construction with next-generation technologies. "This milestone aligns with our vision to expand in the construction sector and offer innovative solutions that drive both efficiency and quality," he stated.

The new facility aims to transform the UAE's construction industry by offering advanced precast concrete solutions. These innovations are designed to improve project delivery quality and efficiency amid rapid sector growth. The strategic initiative supports national programs like 'Operation 300Bn', enhancing the UAE’s construction and industrial ecosystem.

During a tour of Safetech, Abdulla Bin Damithan examined its state-of-the-art production systems. He emphasised its potential impact on the UAE’s industrial sector. "The construction sector contributes nearly 12% to UAE’s economy and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 4.26 percent until 2030," he noted.

Damithan further explained that innovation is crucial for improving manufacturing efficiencies. He believes Safetech’s advanced technology will boost construction quality while strengthening local and regional supply chains for precast concrete solutions. "We are proud to welcome the Safetech flagship facility to the National Industries Park," he added.

This development marks a significant step in supporting the UAE's economic growth through enhanced industrial capabilities. By focusing on innovative construction methods, Safetech is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping future industry standards across the region.
