Annual Middle East Otolaryngology Conference Unveils Latest ENT Advances In Dubai

The 19th annual conference of the Middle East Academy of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery commenced today at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City, drawing over 1,000 doctors and specialists from 31 countries. This gathering aims to bolster clinical skills, present research findings, and ultimately enhance patient care quality in the field.

Dr. Islam Herzallah, a distinguished Professor of Nose Surgery, highlighted the significant evolution of ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgery in recent years. He noted the increasing complexity and diversity of cases that cater to patients across all age groups. The conference this year focuses on the newest developments in hearing and cochlear implants, rehabilitation for hearing impairments, chronic sinus infections, snoring, sleep apnoea, and balance disorders.

A wide array of topics will be covered during the event, including advanced diagnostic technologies, surgical innovations, and new treatment methods. Lectures will span allergic rhinitis, paediatric ENT surgery, rhinoplasty, head and neck surgery, ear surgery, vestibular fixation, ENT audiology, among others. Participants will share their latest research and successful treatment strategies for ENT issues and sleep apnoea disorders to ensure optimal patient care.

Furthermore, Dr. Monas Tarabichi, Co-President of the Conference and Chairman of the Organising Committee, alongside Dr. Herzallah, took the opportunity to honour physicians who have made significant contributions to ENT medicine.

Following the conference's conclusion, the 21st TSESI sinus course workshops will commence at the Neurology and Spine Hospital in Dubai Science Park. These workshops are designed to accommodate a broad audience of doctors with training on human heads imported from the United States. Additionally, two seminars tailored for the industrial sector will be held alongside 30 Heinz Stamberger Research Competition for Residents involving candidates from around the globe.

In conjunction with these educational activities, 22 leading companies from the pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing sectors are sponsoring the conference. They will have the opportunity to showcase their latest medical devices and equipment in an accompanying exhibition, marking some products' debut on this platform.

This annual conference not only serves as a pivotal forum for learning and exchange among ENT professionals but also plays a crucial role in advancing patient care through innovation and collaboration. With its comprehensive agenda and international participation, it underscores Dubai's position as a hub for medical excellence and knowledge sharing in the Middle East.
