MBZUAI Hosts Third Mailis Programme To Discuss AI’s Impact On The Future Of Work

The Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) recently hosted the third edition of Mailis, its community engagement platform. This event gathered entrepreneurs, policymakers, and innovators to discuss AI's transformative role in the workplace and its impact on startups and the UAE's innovation ecosystem.

Rawdha Almeraikhi, Director of Outreach at MBZUAI, opened the session by emphasizing AI's potential beyond being a mere tool. She stated, "We want people to stop seeing AI as just a tool. It is a partner, one that amplifies human creativity, accelerates problem-solving, and pushes the boundaries of what is possible." The event aligns with the UAE’s Year of Community and aims to foster collaborations shaping an AI-driven future.

MBZUAI Explores AI's Role in Future Work

Representatives from Khalifa Fund, Hub71, ADIO, and Abu Dhabi Chamber shared insights on integrating AI into their initiatives. These efforts aim to enhance Abu Dhabi's status as a global innovation hub. Experts from Edulga, Hub71, and MEVP highlighted how access to capital and talent is crucial for startup success. MBZUAI plays a key role in facilitating these exchanges.

A speaker from Stellr Studios addressed the challenges organisations face when designing for intelligence. They pointed out issues like scattered data and misaligned workflows. The speaker urged leaders to incorporate intelligence at every operational level to overcome these hurdles effectively.

The Incubation and Entrepreneurship Center at MBZUAI showcased three innovative AI tools that can act as co-founders in business ventures. A live challenge demonstrated how AI can directly assist in business decision-making processes, highlighting its practical applications in real-time scenarios.

The programme concluded with an open Q&A session. Participants had the opportunity to explore how AI could drive growth and innovation within their own businesses. This interactive segment allowed attendees to gain valuable insights tailored to their specific needs.
