MBRSG And FAA Celebrate Graduation Of Second Cohort In Professional Diploma For Government Auditors
The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), in collaboration with Dubai's Financial Audit Authority (FAA), recently celebrated the graduation of the second cohort from the 'Professional Diploma - The Government Auditor' programme. This initiative aims to enhance the skills and expertise of government auditors, preparing them for excellence in their field.
A total of 26 graduates from 16 different government entities in Dubai successfully completed this programme. They received the 'Professional Diploma - The Government Auditor' certificate, accredited by both MBRSG and FAA. This recognition underscores their dedication and hard work throughout the course.

Abdulrahman Al Hareb, Director General of FAA, highlighted the significance of this achievement. He stated, "The second cohort has graduated from the ‘Professional Diploma - The Government Auditor’ programme, owing to their dedication and hard work. Their success reflects our commitment to empowering national talent, strengthening their capabilities in financial auditing, and reinforcing integrity and transparency in government performance."
Al Hareb further emphasised that these graduates are pivotal in driving change within government institutions. They play a crucial role in achieving FAA’s objectives by enhancing institutional performance and financial auditing standards. The programme aligns with Dubai’s vision of continuous education as a key driver for improving government efficiency.
Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, expressed support for the programme's goals. He remarked, "Our support for the programme, in cooperation with the Financial Audit Authority in Dubai, reflects the emirate’s commitment to promoting transparency, integrity and efficiency, in order to deliver the best government services across all sectors."
Al Marri added that this initiative has successfully prepared skilled government auditors with specialised knowledge in financial auditing. By enhancing their capabilities, these graduates are expected to play a vital role in safeguarding public funds and improving financial auditing practices.
Programme Structure and Focus
The diploma is designed for recent graduates from accredited institutions aiming for roles in government auditing or junior employees with up to two years of experience. It focuses on building institutional capacities and improving auditors' skills within FAA and across Dubai's government entities.
The curriculum includes 27 training modules covering technical and administrative skills essential for excelling in auditing roles. Key topics include future government strategies, modern administration techniques, effective auditing practices, compliance principles, financial statement analysis, professional ethics, and relevant laws.
Practical Training Opportunities
The programme spans 90 days divided into theoretical and practical training phases. Participants gain hands-on experience working alongside industry experts, learning best practices in government financial auditing. This exposure equips them with valuable insights into effective auditing methods.
Upon completion of both phases, participants receive a certificate accredited by MBRSG and FAA. This certification not only validates their newly acquired skills but also supports their pursuit of relevant professional certifications within the field.
This initiative ultimately aims to retain top talent by fostering professional loyalty while promoting integrity and accountability within Dubai's financial auditing landscape.
