MBRSC Invites Young Minds To The Summer Space Explorer Camp 2024
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) has opened registration for its Summer Space Explorer Camp 2024. This camp is designed for young space enthusiasts aged 11 to 15, aiming to spark curiosity and foster a keen interest in space sciences among the youth.
Participants will embark on an exciting journey into space science and exploration. They will learn how robots perform essential tasks in space, such as exploring other planets and assisting astronauts on the ISS. Children will also have the opportunity to engage in simple robotic activities themselves.

Guided by experienced project leaders and team members from MBRSC, the camp aims to provide a hands-on experience that showcases the realities of space exploration. Participants will also get an exclusive tour of MBRSC's state-of-the-art facilities, offering a unique glimpse into the heart of space research and innovation in the UAE.
The boys’ camp will run from 5th-8th August, while the girls’ camp will be held from 12th-15th August. The four-day camp promises an extraordinary experience for both boys and girls, immersing them in various theoretical and practical workshops, activities, and engaging sessions designed to inspire and educate.
During the camp, children will learn about missions to the Moon and Mars, two critical areas of current scientific exploration. They will also gain insights into what it takes to be an astronaut, including training and planning for space missions. Additionally, participants will design their own space missions, learn how astronauts communicate with Earth, and create space-themed art envisioning the future of space travel.
Inspiring Future Leaders
The Summer Space Explorer Camp 2024 is part of MBRSC's broader effort to ignite interest in space science and technology among young people. This initiative aligns with the Centre's mission to nurture future scientists, engineers, and astronauts who will play a vital role in advancing the UAE's space ambitions.
Saud Karmustaji, Director – Strategic Communication Department at MBRSC, stated: "The summer edition of the Space Explorer Camp aims to enhance scientific knowledge about space through fun, interactive activities that inspire students to explore new fields. The camp offers an enriching experience that sparks curiosity and brings students closer to space science. By engaging young minds in such a dynamic environment, we are developing their skills and building the foundation for the UAE’s future leaders in space science and technology."
This camp is a perfect blend of learning and fun designed to inspire young explorers. It goes beyond traditional classroom settings by providing hands-on experiences that highlight real-world applications of space science.
