MBRF Set To Participate In Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2024
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) is gearing up for its participation in the 33rd Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF), scheduled from 29th April to 5th May 2024, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). Themed "Where the World’s Tales Unfold", this event is a cornerstone in the global knowledge and literary sectors, drawing attention from across the globe.
MBRF's involvement in ADIBF is a strategic move aligned with its mission to enhance intellectual, knowledge, and literary creativity. The foundation aims to leverage this platform to showcase its diverse programs and initiatives, contributing to knowledge dissemination, innovation, and the advancement of sustainable development goals.
ADIBF stands as a pivotal event in the knowledge industry, attracting over 300,000 attendees and featuring contributions from more than 1,350 publishers from 90 countries. With over 375 exhibitors, both local and international, the fair fosters significant knowledge exchange among readers, writers, and publishers from the UAE and beyond.
Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, highlighted the fair's role as a global knowledge event that stimulates the book industry and literary creativity. He emphasized MBRF's commitment to this event as an ideal platform for sharing knowledge and connecting with the literary community on various levels.
The MBRF pavilion at ADIBF will host a series of workshops and discussion seminars under the ‘Knowledge Lounge’ events. These sessions are designed to engage community members of all ages and interests, offering them a chance to draw inspiration from specialists across different fields. The focus on reading, book discussions, and author interactions aims to foster a culture of reading and literary analysis.
In addition to these activities, the ‘KnowTalks’ sessions, organized jointly by MBRF and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), will showcase international best practices in addressing environmental challenges, water scarcity, climate issues, and promoting green investments. This initiative brings together experts and policymakers to share insights on these critical topics.
Under the ‘Bil Arabi’ initiative, MBRF’s pavilion will feature influencers and content creators dedicated to promoting the Arabic language. This effort seeks to encourage consistent use of Arabic among content creators and influencers, enhancing Arabic digital content across global platforms.
Throughout its participation in ADIBF, MBRF will organize events aligned with its strategic programs and initiatives. These include the Dubai International Program for Writing (DIPW), the Digital Knowledge Hub, and a signing ceremony for outcomes of the DIPW. This comprehensive involvement underscores MBRF's dedication to promoting sustainable development through knowledge and empowering individuals and societies.
