Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub And UUDS AERO Develop Regional Cabin Excellence Centre In Dubai South

Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub at Dubai South is expanding support for cabin services. It is doing this through a larger partnership with UUDS AERO. The agreement sits within Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH). The move includes new industrial space and a planned Cabin Excellence Centre. It strengthens Dubai’s position as a global base for aircraft completion and retrofit.

Under the updated agreement, UUDS AERO will take two additional Code F plots within Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub. Each plot can separately host three wide-body aircraft at the same time. The space supports cabin completion projects and retrofit work for airlines and operators across the region. This capacity targets demand from carriers seeking specialised interior upgrades and maintenance in the Middle East.

As part of the expansion, Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub plans a 40,000 sqm Cabin Excellence Centre in its Airline Manufacturing and Supply Chain Zone. The facility will be the first specialised site of its type in the region. It will focus on cabin engineering, completion, and related manufacturing services for airline and business customers. Key project specifications are outlined below.

The development aligns with the hub’s strategy to expand local aerospace capabilities and attract global firms. "Our partnership with UUDS AERO continues to evolve in line with our vision to build a fully integrated, world-class aerospace ecosystem in Dubai," said Tahnoon Saif, CEO of MBR Aerospace Hub. "The launch of the Cabin Excellence Centre marks a significant milestone for the region, creating new industrial capabilities while supporting engineering, manufacturing, and cabin innovation ecosystems."

From the operator’s side, UUDS AERO expects the additional capacity to support more complex cabin programmes. The new space will help airlines that use Dubai as a maintenance base. Gilles Negre, Founder and Chairman of UUDS AERO, said, "The new plots and the upcoming Cabin Excellence Centre will enhance our ability to deliver advanced cabin completion, modification, and eco-efficient solutions. Dubai South’s vision, connectivity, and integrated ecosystem make it the ideal location for us to innovate and contribute to the future of aerospace."

UUDS AERO operates as a fully integrated cabin completion and modification centre. It holds key approvals from EASA and GCAA. The company covers aircraft interior design, certification, manufacturing, maintenance, and on-site implementation. Its portfolio also includes technology-driven cabin solutions and eco-focused services that measure environmental impacts. These activities support Dubai South’s ambition to grow a specialised aerospace supply chain.
