Mansour Bin Zayed Opens 40th Edition Of Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition And Conference

Under the auspices of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the 40th Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) commenced at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister, inaugurated the event, which will continue until 7th November. The opening ceremony was graced by H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa from Bahrain.

The event's opening featured the national anthem and a video presentation about ADIPEC 2024. Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and ADNOC Managing Director and Group CEO, delivered a keynote address. A panel discussion followed with energy ministers from various countries participating. The conference is hosted by ADNOC Group and is renowned as the largest global energy event.

This year's theme is ‘Connecting Minds. Transforming Energy.’ It draws over 200,000 visitors, including top innovators worldwide. His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan highlighted the UAE's dedication to fostering technological innovation in sectors like energy. He stated that strategic partnerships are crucial for integrating artificial intelligence into the energy sector to promote clean energy globally.

New features at ADIPEC include the Digitalisation and Technology Conference. This segment explores how technologies like artificial intelligence can boost efficiency and cut emissions. Additionally, there are new exhibitions showcasing advanced technologies from leading companies.

The exhibition spans 16 halls with more than 2,200 exhibitors. These include 54 national and international oil companies, national energy firms, international energy corporations, and 30 country pavilions across four specialised zones: AI Zone, Decarbonisation Zone, Digitalisation Zone, and Maritime & Logistics Zone.

Attendees include Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court; Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan, Minister of State; Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei; Suhail Al Mazrouei; Sarah Al Musallam; Mansour Al Mansouri; Mariam bint Mohammed Al Muhairi; Humaid bin Saeed Al Neyadi; Sultan Dhahi Hemeiri; among other officials.

Global Participation

The event unites 54 leading oil companies globally with engineering firms across 30 national pavilions. It also includes four specialised industrial zones focusing on low carbon solutions, digital transformation, maritime logistics, and artificial intelligence innovations shaping future energy landscapes.

The conference underscores the UAE's role in advancing global energy transitions through collaboration with international entities to integrate cutting-edge technology in energy sectors.
