Mansoor Bin Mohammed Opens 23rd Edition Of Ru’ya Careers UAE To Empower Young Emiratis

H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Ports and Borders Security Council, inaugurated the 23rd edition of Ru’ya, Careers UAE at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This event is a significant recruitment and networking forum showcasing diverse job opportunities in the UAE. The theme for this year is "[YOU]th Can," focusing on empowering young Emiratis.

The event attracted thousands of young Emiratis eager to engage with leading companies promoting Emiratisation. Key sponsors included First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) as Platinum Sponsor, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) as Gold Sponsor, and Support Sponsors Air Arabia and United Arab Bank. The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) also participated actively.

Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director-General of DGHR, expressed satisfaction with their participation. "We are pleased to participate in Ru’ya, Careers UAE, and represent the Dubai Government with a pavilion at this event. It aligns with our commitment to nurturing the next generation of leaders, innovators, and creators while supporting Dubai’s and the UAE’s future aspirations, particularly the ‘We the UAE 2031’ vision. This vision seeks to position the UAE among the top 10 global destinations for attracting and retaining talent."

The event serves as a platform for collaboration and sharing expertise to empower Emirati talent in public and private sectors. Ru’ya uniquely connects national human resources with companies.

Ru’ya offers mentoring, interviews, and CV guidance at its Empowerment Journey hub over three days. Emirati students and professionals can explore over 3,000 vacancies through workshops and talks.

The Youth Inspire stage featured sportswomen Maha Al Shehi, Hind Al Bastaki, and Hawraa Al Ajmi on day one. Workshops on university readiness were conducted by the Ministry of Education.

Women Empowerment Initiatives

The event's 'Women Empowerment Partner,' Women Choice, hosted a panel discussion featuring Mary Ting from Mastercard; Emma Duncombe from Citi; and Damian Brown from Chalhoub Group.

Days two and three offered more interactive sessions for UAE Nationals seeking employment opportunities. Highlights included performances by pianist Dana Al Kuthari and workshops on various skills like photography.

Wassim Eid from Chalhoub Group highlighted their ongoing commitment to Emiratisation through their campaign 'My Bold Future.' "Our participation in Ru’ya reflects our commitment to nurturing and supporting Emirati talent. This flagship event is a vital platform connecting ambitious Emirati professionals with opportunities in the luxury retail sector and beyond."

Sheikh Mansoor toured stands of over 150 exhibitors from 26 sectors including Dubai Police, Emaar, and PwC. Helal Almarri accompanied him during this tour.
