Global Collaboration And Trade Opportunities Highlighted At IGF 2024 Forum In Dubai

The fourth edition of the India Global Forum (IGF) 2024 is back in Dubai. On Day 1, Manoj Lawda, Chairman & CEO of India Inc. Group and Founder of IGF, delivered an inspiring speech, expressing his deep appreciation for the support provided by the UAE government and the India Prime Minister's office, illustrating the UAE not just as a city of gold but also as a beacon for golden dreams and opportunities, notably for its golden visas initiative.

Lawda highlighted the enduring support from the Government of India, particularly the Ministry of External Affairs and the Embassy of India in the UAE, acknowledging their significant role in promoting the vision of IGF. He added that this collaboration has been instrumental in presenting the narrative of a contemporary India to a worldwide audience, showcasing the country's vast opportunities.

Manoj Lawda Addresses IGF 2024 Forum

Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's sentiment that the present era is not one for warfare but for dialogue and cooperation, Lawda emphasized the importance of addressing global challenges through collaboration rather than conflict. His remarks underscore the necessity for nations to work together in addressing the intertwined issues of poverty, climate change, inequality, and the digital divide. The call to action is clear – a collective response is crucial for a sustainable future.

Lawda also critiqued the outcome of the recent COP29 in Baku, describing it as a missed opportunity for impactful global environmental action. This critique underlines the urgent need for innovative thinking and dynamic partnerships to address the pressing issues of climate change and sustainability.

In his vision of international cooperation, Lawda presented the UAE, India, the Middle East, and Africa as regions with complementary strengths in technology, talent, and markets. These regions, he believes, hold the key to unlocking extraordinary opportunities through their diverse strengths, cultures, and resources. He sees these partnerships as pivotal in creating a future defined by shared solutions and mutual growth.

Furthermore, Lawda highlighted the flourishing trade relationships between the UAE and India, as well as India and Africa, which have seen significant growth and investment, reaching $75 billion over the past year. This economic boom underscores the potential for further collaboration and the importance of continuing to forge new partnerships.

Lawda's address on Day 1 was a compelling call to action for global leaders, innovators, and changemakers. By advocating for dialogue, cooperation, and innovative partnerships, he underscored the potential for collective efforts to address the world's most pressing challenges. Through the spirit of collaboration, Lawda envisions a future where technology, investment, and innovation can lead to sustainable development and a more equitable world for all.
