Maktoum Bin Mohammed Meets Leaders Of City Makers Initiative To Discuss Public Service Enhancements
H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, recently engaged with leaders from government teams involved in the City Makers initiative. This initiative is spearheaded by the General Secretariat of The Executive Council of Dubai. During this meeting, H.H. Sheikh Maktoum assessed the progress made in enhancing public services to improve quality of life and reinforce Dubai’s status as a leading global city.
He emphasised that the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, prioritises people in government work. H.H. Sheikh Maktoum also highlighted the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, which promote a unified team spirit. This approach has led to the development of outstanding services that boost community wellbeing and support the goals outlined in the Dubai 2033 Plan.
H.H. Sheikh Maktoum reiterated his dedication to overseeing service improvements across Dubai to ensure it remains a leader in public service excellence globally. He stressed that government efforts must be centred around people, with seamless coordination among all entities involved in various programmes and initiatives. "The Government of Dubai works as one united team, offering a global model for the whole-of-government approach," he stated.
He further added, "We continuously monitor the development of public services across Dubai to ensure that all citizens, residents and visitors benefit equally. Our ambition is for Dubai to lead the world in service quality and innovation, driving economic and social progress to new heights."
The City Makers Initiative focuses on developing services that provide tangible benefits for the community in areas such as social welfare, health, empowerment programmes, cultural identity protection, and high-quality public services readiness through partnerships. These efforts reflect Dubai’s remarkable growth trajectory.
The emirate’s population has now exceeded four million people. Additionally, Dubai International Airport welcomed 93.8 million passengers over 12 months ending September 2025, ranking it among the top three travel hubs worldwide during Q4 2025.
