Make It In The Emirates Forum 2025 To Showcase Innovations And Investment Opportunities In Abu Dhabi

The upcoming Make it in the Emirates Forum, scheduled from 19-22 May 2025 in Abu Dhabi, aims to boost the UAE's industrial sector. This event, in partnership with the ADNEC Group, will focus on technological advancements and sustainable manufacturing. The forum is expected to enhance the sector's contribution to the national GDP, which reached AED 205 billion by the end of 2023.

Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, highlighted the forum's strategic role. He stated that it aligns with leadership's vision for industrial growth and economic diversification. "Aligned with our leadership’s vision to drive industrial growth, supply chain resilience, enhance economic diversification, MoIAT is committed to empowering the industrial sector and increasing its resilience," he said.

Emirates Forum 2025 to Highlight Industrial Growth

The forum will spotlight innovations in sectors like AI and Industry 4.0. It will also showcase sustainable practices across various industries such as food & beverage, agritech, pharmaceuticals, and more. A dedicated pavilion for Emirati handicrafts will highlight local talent alongside advanced manufacturing sectors.

Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi emphasised the UAE's commitment to industry leadership through skilled national talent. "We take pride in the efforts that position the UAE as a leader in industry," he remarked. The Ministry of Culture supports initiatives that align with national goals for sustainable development and economic diversification.

The collaboration between MoIAT and ADNEC Group aims to leverage logistical capabilities and financial solutions to amplify the forum’s impact. This partnership is expected to create opportunities for investors to expand their businesses regionally and globally.

Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi noted Abu Dhabi's competitive industrial hub status. He mentioned promising opportunities at the forum for building partnerships that address industrial needs. "There is a large number of promising opportunities in Abu Dhabi’s industrial sector," he stated.

Expanding Industrial Opportunities

The fourth edition will unveil international agreements worth billions of dirhams and offer diverse job opportunities. It will also highlight success stories from international companies operating in the UAE, emphasising innovation and manufacturing excellence.

Omar Al Suwaidi from MoIAT expressed confidence in enhancing UAE's manufacturing leadership through this event. "The fourth edition of the Make it in the Emirates Forum will enhance the UAE’s leadership in manufacturing and innovation," he said.

Commitment to Local Manufacturing

ADNOC's Dr. Saleh Al Hashimi reiterated support for local manufacturing through its In-Country Value Programme (ICV). ADNOC plans to locally manufacture AED90 billion worth of products by 2030 as part of this initiative.

"ADNOC is proud to once again partner with MoIAT on the Make it in the Emirates Forum," Dr. Al Hashimi stated. The programme aims to redirect AED178 billion back into the UAE economy by 2028.

Awards Celebrating Industrial Excellence

The Make it in the Emirates Awards will recognise achievements across ten categories including sustainability and innovation. Additionally, a startup competition will provide significant opportunities for developing technologies aligned with UAE’s growth objectives.

This forum represents a concerted effort to foster collaboration between local and international investors, reinforcing UAE’s position as a global industrial hub while promoting economic diversification.
