Make It In The Emirates 2025 To Launch On May 19 With Focus On Advanced Industries And Economic Growth

The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has unveiled the agenda and slogan for the fourth 'Make it in the Emirates' event. Scheduled from 19-22 May 2025 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, it will focus on "Advanced Industries. Accelerated". This announcement was made during a press conference at Emirates Towers, attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology.

Dr. Al Jaber highlighted the UAE's achievements, attributing them to the vision of its leaders. He stated, "All that the UAE has accomplished is built on the legacy of our Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the forward-looking vision set out by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai."

Make it in the Emirates 2025 Launches May 19

The event is organised by MoIAT with support from strategic partners like ADNOC Group and ADIO. It aims to enhance industrial growth in the UAE through partnerships and investment opportunities. The Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre’s infrastructure will support this large-scale gathering of industry leaders.

Omar Al Suwaidi noted that Make it in the Emirates has become a leading platform for shaping the UAE's industrial future. He mentioned new announcements about industrial investments and initiatives that align with sustainable economic goals.

The UAE's industrial sector has seen substantial growth recently. Industrial exports reached AED 197 billion in 2024, marking a 68% increase since 2020. The National In-Country Value (ICV) Program contributed AED 347 billion to local spending.

Dr. Saleh Al Hashmi praised ADNOC’s ICV program for injecting over AED 242 billion into the economy and creating over 17,000 jobs for Emiratis. ADNOC plans to invest an additional AED200 billion by 2030.

Event Highlights

This year's edition will feature various activities over four days. These include ministerial sessions, partnership signings, and awards like Make it in the Emirates Awards and ICV Champions. The event will also focus on technology's role in industry and highlight women's contributions.

Al Nakhi emphasised that Make it in the Emirates reflects leadership's commitment to national identity and sustainable economic growth rooted in creativity. The Artisans Handicrafts pavilion will showcase traditional crafts as part of this year's theme.

Future Prospects

The event anticipates more than 30,000 visitors and over 700 exhibitors across a vast exhibition space of 68,000 square meters. It aims to attract international investors by showcasing UAE's business-friendly environment and technological advancements.

Al Kamali highlighted Abu Dhabi’s advanced industrial ecosystem centred on innovation. He noted ADIO’s role in supporting these efforts through comprehensive services that boost investor confidence globally.

Opportunities for Startups

A Startup Pitch Competition focused on artificial intelligence will be part of this edition to integrate emerging innovations into the national ecosystem. Startups can present their ideas to investors and decision-makers during dedicated sessions.

The Global Exchange Program will introduce startups to international markets like Japan during Expo 2025 Osaka, opening new avenues for growth beyond local borders.

The fourth edition of Make it in the Emirates promises significant outcomes with numerous projects announced across vital sectors such as AI-driven manufacturing and smart industrial transformation. It aims to enhance economic diversification while promoting national content globally through strategic partnerships.
