Make-A-Wish Foundation Partners With Ahl Masr Hospital To Support Children With Burn Injuries
The Make-A-Wish Foundation in the UAE has partnered with Ahl Masr Burn Hospital to offer psychological support to children with burn injuries by fulfilling their wishes. This initiative aims to aid their recovery and assist in their societal reintegration.
The signing event was attended by Abdulbaset Mohammed Al Marzouqi, Deputy Head of Mission and Acting Charge d’Affaires of the UAE Embassy in Cairo. Also present were Hamdan Al Kaabi from the Foundation's Board of Trustees, Noha El Shourbagy, Deputy CEO of Operations at Make-A-Wish Foundation, and Dr. Heba El Sewedy, Founder and Chairperson of Ahl Masr Foundation and Hospital.

Dr. Heba El Sewedy highlighted that Ahl Masr Hospital prioritises patients' humanity over treating them as mere medical cases. She stated that the collaboration with Make-A-Wish Foundation reflects the hospital's belief that hope is as crucial as medicine. Supporting patients psychologically and granting simple wishes can significantly motivate them to overcome pain and regain self-confidence.
This cooperation underscores both organisations' dedication to providing comprehensive care that combines medical treatment with psychological support. The goal is to help children with burn injuries and their families face challenges and restore hope.
Sheikha Sheikha bint Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Honorary President of Make-A-Wish Foundation, expressed pride in launching this partnership with Ahl Masr Hospital. She described it as a model for integrated medical and humanitarian care. "This initiative aligns with Make-A-Wish Foundation’s commitment to the UAE’s vision and global humanitarian strategy," she said.
