M42 Recognised By MoHAP For Contributions To National Hypertension Detection Campaign Success

M42, a leader in global health powered by AI, technology, and genomics, has been acknowledged by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) for its role in the National Campaign for early detection of Hypertension (MMM25). This initiative aims to enhance preventive healthcare and improve cardiovascular health throughout the UAE. M42, along with its centres Healthpoint and HealthPlus, played crucial roles in this campaign's success.

MoHAP achieved remarkable results in this national effort, exceeding its target with over 110,000 screenings conducted across the UAE. The campaign focused on early detection and preventive care, showcasing the Ministry’s approach to providing high-quality healthcare. This aligns with the "We the UAE 2031" vision of using reliable digital data for public-health programme planning and management.

M42 Honoured by MoHAP for Health Initiative

The campaign reflects MoHAP's strategy to establish a world-leading health system that prioritises community health. It aims to create an integrated, sustainable, and innovative system where prevention is a core pillar of care. Dr. Hussain Abdul Rahman Al Rand from MoHAP stated that public health is a shared responsibility involving federal, local, private, and community stakeholders.

Dr. Al Rand emphasised that transforming field data into strategic indicators enhances the ability to design evidence-based policies. This optimises resources and strengthens national health security, supporting the UAE’s global leadership in health. The Ministry’s mandate includes managing public-health programmes based on best practices and fostering a preventive society.

Dimitris Moulavasilis, CEO at M42, highlighted that their participation underscores M42’s belief in prevention and early intervention as the future of healthcare. He noted that coordinating efforts between public and private sectors advances preventive healthcare in the UAE. M42 is proud to have contributed to earlier detections and improved health outcomes.

Dr. Fernando Macario from M42 added that hypertension is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Recognition from MoHAP affirms their commitment to shifting healthcare delivery from reactive to proactive models. By focusing on preventive care, they support reducing premature deaths by 30% from non-communicable diseases by 2030.

Empowering Communities

M42 played a vital role by mobilising its medical network for screenings across communities during this campaign. This empowered individuals to better understand their cardiovascular health while raising awareness about hypertension as a leading risk factor for heart disease.

This milestone highlights M42’s dedication to population health management and supporting the UAE’s transition toward proactive care models. The collaboration between various stakeholders demonstrates how collective efforts can lead to significant advancements in public health initiatives.
