Sheikha Latifa Honours Champions At Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships

H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) and a Member of the Dubai Council, had the honor of presenting Italy’s Jasmine Paolini with the winner’s trophy at the conclusion of the women’s competition at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships. This event, a part of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) 1000 tournaments, unfolded under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, showcasing a week filled with top-tier tennis action.

The final match saw Paolini securing victory against qualifier Anna Kalinskaya in a captivating 4-6, 7-5, 7-5 match, witnessed by a full house at the Dubai Tennis Stadium. The awards ceremony was graced by notable figures including His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and Colm McLoughlin, Executive Vice Chairman and CEO of Dubai Duty Free, among others.

The championship attracted over 100 of the world's elite female tennis players, competing fiercely for the prestigious titles. In the doubles final, Australia's Storm Hunter and Katerina Siniakova from the Czech Republic triumphed over their opponents, winning 6-4, 6-2 amidst cheers from an enthusiastic audience.

Colm McLoughlin expressed his satisfaction with the event's success, highlighting the exceptional skill and determination displayed by all competitors. He extended congratulations to both singles champion Jasmine Paolini and doubles champions Storm Hunter and Katerina Siniakova for their outstanding performance throughout the tournament.
