King Abdullah II Hosts Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed At Aqaba Meetings Focused On Syria's Stability
His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan welcomed H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, along with other ministers and officials attending the Aqaba meetings on Syria. The gathering took place in Aqaba, focusing on regional stability and cooperation.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed greetings from President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, wishing Jordan prosperity. In response, King Abdullah sent his regards to President Sheikh Mohamed, hoping for continued progress for the UAE.

King Abdullah emphasised that Syria's stability is crucial for Arab nations and the region. He called for a unified international approach to protect Syria’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. The King highlighted the importance of a peaceful political transition involving all Syrian factions.
The King stressed the necessity of UN and Arab League involvement to meet the aspirations of all Syrian communities. He urged unity among Syrians to establish a safe and stable nation. Efforts to combat terrorism were also deemed essential for regional and global security.
Jordan remains committed to providing humanitarian aid to Syrians. King Abdullah highlighted the need for conditions that allow refugees to return voluntarily. Cooperation with UN organisations is vital in this effort.
The meeting underscored the importance of ministerial discussions in enhancing Arab coordination with international partners. This collaboration aims at achieving a political solution that supports Syria’s unity and stability.
