Khalifa University And National Centre Of Meteorology Sign MoU To Enhance Scientific Collaboration
Khalifa University of Science and Technology has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). This agreement aims to foster cooperation in various scientific, academic, and technical domains. Dr. Abdullah Ahmed Al Mandous from NCM and Professor Ebrahim Al Hajri from Khalifa University signed the MoU.
The partnership between Khalifa University and NCM is designed to enhance collaboration in joint research, knowledge sharing, and the creation of future initiatives that align with shared interests and national priorities. The MoU will facilitate these efforts by establishing a framework for cooperation.

Professor Ebrahim Al Hajri expressed pride in Khalifa University's ongoing role in national projects that merge academic excellence with practical impact. The MoU outlines plans for Khalifa University and NCM to explore opportunities for conducting joint scientific studies. They will also focus on exchanging expertise, offering consulting services, hosting academic events, and implementing training programmes together.
Both institutions already collaborate on significant research areas like polar science, cloud seeding, and drone technology. Researchers from Khalifa University have been actively involved in workshops led by NCM. Additionally, they are co-developing proposals that utilise drone-based systems for environmental and meteorological research.
This collaboration underscores a mutual dedication to addressing climate challenges through innovative solutions. By leveraging their combined strengths, Khalifa University and NCM aim to contribute significantly to the UAE's sustainability goals.
