Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Highlights AI's Role At ADIPEC 2024 Tour
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, recently visited the 40th ADIPEC event at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. This event is under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and runs until 7 November 2024. During his visit, Sheikh Khaled highlighted ADIPEC's importance as a global platform for advancing AI technologies in the energy sector.
Sheikh Khaled stressed that ADIPEC plays a crucial role in uniting leaders from energy, technology, and investment sectors. The focus is on integrating AI to develop sustainable energy solutions. He noted that hosting ADIPEC in Abu Dhabi underscores the city's leadership in innovative climate solutions and its dedication to using advanced technology for a sustainable future.
The ENERGYai Zone, hosted by ADNOC at ADIPEC, was one of the highlights of Sheikh Khaled's tour. This zone showcases cutting-edge AI solutions aimed at transforming the future of energy and promoting low carbon growth. It offers an immersive experience with interactive exhibitions, demonstrations, and panel discussions featuring top innovators and experts.
During his visit, Sheikh Khaled explored various local and international stands and pavilions. Exhibitors briefed him on new energy and technology innovations designed to deliver more energy with fewer emissions. These innovations are pivotal in addressing global energy challenges while reducing environmental impact.
ADIPEC 2024 features ten conferences across 16 halls, attracting over 2,200 exhibitors from the global energy ecosystem. The event includes participation from 54 national oil companies (NOCs), international oil companies (IOCs), national energy companies (NECs), and international energy companies (IECs). Additionally, there are 30 dedicated country pavilions and four specialised industry areas focusing on decarbonisation, digitalisation, maritime logistics, and AI.
Sheikh Khaled was accompanied by several key figures during his tour. These included Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince's Court; and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
The presence of these dignitaries highlights the significance of ADIPEC as a platform for collaboration among industry leaders. Their involvement underscores Abu Dhabi's commitment to fostering innovation in the energy sector through strategic partnerships.
