The UAE is making strides towards a clean-energy future by utilising advanced technologies and innovations. Sheikh Khaled reaffirmed that these initiatives align with the country's Net Zero 2050 Strategy. The strategy aims to integrate sustainable practices across various sectors by collaborating with global entities to exchange expertise.

During his visit, Sheikh Khaled was accompanied by Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. The Y4S Hub at ADSW 2025 features the Annual Y4S Forum, which includes interactive sessions, debates, panels, and keynotes from experts and innovators. These activities aim to inspire and engage participants in sustainability discussions.

The Y4S Hub also hosts Out-of-Labs, an innovation marketplace showcasing climate technologies and net-zero solutions developed by startups and students. This platform allows Y4S participants to present their projects. Additionally, Youth Connect offers workshops on climate literacy and negotiation simulations for youth engagement.

A notable feature is the Innovate 4 Climate Pitch Day, where young innovators present solutions for water scarcity challenges. These initiatives under ADSW 2025's theme ‘The Nexus of Next. Supercharging Sustainable Progress’ aim to connect policymakers, business leaders, and civil society to explore pathways for a sustainable economy.

The event seeks to ignite a new era of prosperity by fast-tracking sustainable economic transformation. By empowering youth through education and innovation, the UAE continues its commitment to addressing climate challenges effectively.
