Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Celebrates Graduates At Khalifa University 2025 Ceremony
Under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the Khalifa University 2025 graduation ceremony at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. A total of 1,112 students graduated, including 163 with PhDs, 193 with master’s degrees, and 725 with bachelor’s degrees. Among them were 31 PhD graduates in medicine.
H.H. Sheikh Khaled congratulated the graduates and their families on this significant milestone. He wished them success in their careers and contributions to society. He emphasised that the new graduates from Khalifa University reflect the UAE's dedication to nurturing talent in engineering, science, and medicine for critical sectors like technology and health sciences.
Khalifa University achieved notable milestones in 2025. It ranked first in the UAE and 37th in Asia according to the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings. Additionally, it topped the UAE rankings in ten subjects in the QS World University Rankings by Subject. The Petroleum Engineering programme maintained its global top 10 position for three years.
The university launched a Sustainability Strategy aiming for Net Zero by 2050, marking its commitment to sustainability with its first greenhouse gas emissions report. Enhancing Abu Dhabi's status as a robotics and AI innovation hub, a bachelor's programme in Robotics and AI was introduced.
Khalifa University expanded its academic offerings through collaborations. It developed a dual PhD programme with KU Leuven and a unique dual master’s programme with Arizona State University. Partnerships were also formed with Zayed Military University, Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, Mubadala Healthcare, and continued collaboration with the National Service and Reserve Authority.
Professor Ebrahim Al Hajri, President of Khalifa University, expressed gratitude to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his leadership and support of academic institutions in the UAE. He also thanked H.H. Sheikh Khaled for attending the ceremony and supporting national talent across scientific fields.

Reflecting on the UAE Year of Community, Professor Al Hajri highlighted Khalifa University's role in preparing future-ready talent for various industries. He praised faculty members for shaping graduates' skills, noting that students embody innovation supporting the UAE’s vision.
The graduation ceremony was attended by senior officials, members of the Board of Trustees of Khalifa University, faculty staff, graduates, and their families.
The event underscored Khalifa University's commitment to excellence in education and research while contributing significantly to national development goals through innovative programmes and strategic partnerships.
