Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Attends Second Edition Of DRIFTx Exhibition In Abu Dhabi
H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, attended the second DRIFTx exhibition. Organised by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), it took place from 10-12 November at Yas Marina Circuit. This event is part of the inaugural Abu Dhabi Autonomous Week, focusing on smart mobility innovations.
The DRIFTx exhibition, organised by the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council (SASC), gathered global experts in smart mobility. The aim was to discuss technological advancements shaping autonomous systems' future. The event also sought to create a competitive environment that boosts efficiency in this crucial sector by promoting sustainable mobility solutions.
H.H. Sheikh Khaled praised the efforts of SASC, led by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Their work positions Abu Dhabi as a global innovation hub for next-generation autonomous solutions. This supports the emirate’s vision to develop advanced infrastructure, enhancing its leadership in technology and AI across key sectors.
During his visit, Sheikh Khaled toured various pavilions featuring national and international companies at DRIFTx. The exhibition showcased live demonstrations of cutting-edge smart mobility technologies like eVTOL aircraft, autonomous vehicles, vessels, and advanced robotic systems.
Sheikh Khaled reviewed innovations aimed at improving logistics and transport ecosystems through smart mobility solutions across air, land, sea, and robotics. These efforts align with Abu Dhabi’s strategic vision to integrate industrial innovation with future mobility trends.
Accompanying Sheikh Khaled were notable figures such as Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport; Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development; and Badr Salim Al Olama, Director-General of ADIO.
The exhibition highlighted how these innovations contribute to enhancing quality of life through sustainable solutions. By fostering an environment conducive to technological advancement, Abu Dhabi aims to strengthen its position as a leader in smart mobility on a global scale.
