Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, the Founder of Kalimat Group, recently participated in a book signing at the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF 2025). Her new book, The House of Wisdom, was celebrated at the event. This title has won the Sharjah Children's Book Award for ages 7-13 and the BolognaRagazzi Award 2025. The festival, themed "Dive into Books," will continue at Expo Centre Sharjah until 4th May.
Kalimat Group has announced several initiatives to promote reading culture. These include launching new books, forming strategic partnerships, and hosting author-led reading sessions. The group also revealed collaborative projects to enhance Arabic children's publishing. These efforts highlight Kalimat's commitment to fostering a love for reading among young audiences.

At the festival, Kalimat Group introduced several new titles. Among them is Did You Know? by Sheikha Meera Al Qasimi. This book is designed for children aged 6 and above and offers quirky animal facts in both Arabic and English. It aims to engage young readers with interesting and easy-to-understand information.
Another notable release is Fasten Your Seatbelt by Noura Alkhoori, created in partnership with Sharjah Airport. This educational book takes children on an aviation journey from check-in to takeoff, providing a fun introduction to air travel. These titles reflect Kalimat's dedication to offering diverse and educational content for young readers.
The group has entered into a sponsorship agreement with the Sharjah Cooperative Society. This partnership will support Kalimat's stand at the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival for three years. Both entities aim to promote cultural engagement and raise awareness about reading's importance through various initiatives.
Kalimat Group used its presence at this prominent literary festival to launch these new titles and collaborations. The group's efforts are part of a broader mission to encourage literacy and education in Sharjah and beyond. By partnering with organisations like the Sharjah Cooperative Society, Kalimat seeks to expand its reach and impact.
Interactive Reading Sessions
To further enrich its festival presence, Kalimat organised interactive reading sessions featuring visiting authors. These sessions allowed children to interact directly with authors, fostering creativity and a love of reading. Such activities are integral to Kalimat's strategy of engaging young minds through literature.
The festival provided an ideal platform for Kalimat Group to showcase its latest offerings and initiatives aimed at promoting reading culture among children. Through strategic partnerships, new publications, and interactive events, Kalimat continues to play a vital role in enhancing children's literature in the region.
