K1 Pro Night In Abu Dhabi Sees Historic Victories For Mohammed Touizi And Nikola Todorovic
The K1 Pro Night at Space 42 Arena in Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi, was an exciting event for combat sports enthusiasts. The evening saw UAE's Mohammed Touizi winning the Intercontinental Flyweight Title, while Serbia's Nikola Todorovic retained his World Super Middleweight Title with a knockout. Organised by the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation alongside WAKO Pro, the event featured 28 fighters from 24 countries competing in 14 thrilling bouts.
The competition underscored Abu Dhabi's growing status as a global centre for professional combat sports. The main event saw Serbia’s Nikola Todorovic defeating Spain’s Jordi Coronado to keep his World Super Middleweight Title through a knockout. In the co-main event, UAE’s Mohammed Touizi claimed victory over Portugal’s Ricardo Hilario in a five-round contest to secure the Intercontinental Flyweight Title.

In the preliminary fights, Brazil’s Maria Samurai emerged victorious against Italy’s Alessia Muroni in the Flyweight division. Morocco’s Zakaria Ahmamou knocked out Algeria’s Abdelmoueneme Basta in the Lightweight category. Japan’s Kensuke Takao defeated China’s Yuhao Zhao in the Bantamweight division, while Romania’s David Boros overcame Germany’s Hamza Drafat in the Super Welterweight category.
On the main card, Netherlands’ Mohamed El Hammouti triumphed over Zakaria Al Jari in the Light Welterweight division. Turkey’s Izzettin Altunsoz secured a win against UAE’s Mohamed Hadile in the Light Middleweight division. Additionally, Netherlands’ Bogdan Dimitrov defeated Guinea’s Basso Pires in the Middleweight division.
Abdullah Saeed Al Neyadi, President of both Asian and Arab Muay Thai Federations and Chairman of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, expressed his satisfaction with the event's success. He stated, "We are thrilled with the remarkable success of K1 Pro Night, which has concluded our vibrant 2024 season. This tournament has showcased world-class talent and reaffirmed Abu Dhabi’s reputation as a premier destination for combat sports."
Al Neyadi dedicated Mohammed Touizi's victory to UAE's leadership and thanked His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan for supporting kickboxing and Muay Thai development in the country. The event was attended by notable figures such as Tariq Mohammed Al Muhairi from the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation Board; Ali Khouri of the International Kickboxing Federation; Carlos Ramognali from WAKO Pro; Mohammed Al Hosani from UAE Mixed Martial Arts Committee; and Fouad Darwish of Palms Sports.
