Jawaher Al Qasimi Appoints Mariam Mohammed Al Hammadi As Director-General Of NAMA Women Advancement

H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Wife of H.H. the Ruler of Sharjah, has announced two significant appointments to promote female leadership. Mariam Mohammed Al Hammadi will serve as Director-General of NAMA Women Advancement and join The Big Heart Foundation’s Advisory Board. Alya Obaid Al Musaiebi is set to become Director of The Big Heart Foundation starting 1st March 2025.

These appointments underscore Sheikha Jawaher's dedication to advancing women's roles in leadership and humanitarian efforts. Both appointees bring a wealth of experience and have made notable contributions in their respective fields. New Director-General for NAMA Women Advancement Appointed

Mariam Mohammed Al Hammadi previously led The Big Heart Foundation (TBHF) as Director-General, where she initiated projects benefiting over 5 million people in more than 30 countries. Her leadership earned TBHF recognition for its sustainable work in education, healthcare, and emergency relief. In honour of her achievements, Sheikha Jawaher awarded her the High Distinction Medal for Excellence.

In her new capacity at NAMA Women Advancement, Al Hammadi aims to boost women's economic and social empowerment. She plans to redefine strategies for comprehensive female advancement locally while strengthening global partnerships to expand women's societal roles worldwide. Her position on TBHF’s Advisory Board ensures her continued influence on the foundation's vision and international outreach.

Alya Obaid Al Musaiebi steps into her role as Director of TBHF with nearly a decade of experience in humanitarian work. Her expertise spans social justice, education, and healthcare initiatives, focusing on developing sustainable strategies for vulnerable communities. Her direct engagement in refugee camps and underserved regions provides valuable insights into the challenges faced by displaced populations.
