Jawahar Al Qasimi Hosts Female Diplomats To Enhance Cultural Exchange And Empower Women
H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the wife of the Ruler of Sharjah, hosted female diplomats from the UAE at Al Badee Palace. This gathering, organised by Sharjah's Department of Government Relations, aimed to enhance cultural exchange and diplomatic ties while highlighting Sharjah's efforts in empowering women and fostering a sustainable social system.
The meeting featured H.H. Sheikha Jawaher discussing her journey in societal development, complementing government initiatives to strengthen family values. Her efforts include founding girls' clubs and institutions that support social values and charitable organisations extending aid globally. This vision is rooted in providing a safe environment for individuals, especially women, to contribute meaningfully to society.

Sheikha Jawaher emphasised that in Sharjah, they proactively initiated change rather than waiting for it. The aim was not just to promote culture as a slogan but as a practice seen in generations of eloquent leaders. From small beginnings for women and children, it has grown into a comprehensive system promoting empowerment and national identity.
During her speech, Sheikha Jawaher stated: "In Sharjah, we did not wait for change; rather, we took the initiative to become its creators. We did not want culture to be merely a slogan, but rather a living practice seen in generations of eloquent, affable, leadership-oriented, and aware people."
Sheikha Jawaher also highlighted His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi's vision of embedding culture as Sharjah's identity throughout its history. His Highness ensured this by producing the film "Khorfakkan," offering direct documentation without dramatic alterations under his supervision. This serves as a reference for future generations.
The rich history of all seven emirates predates their union by centuries. Documenting this history today is crucial so future generations can understand their ancestors' experiences. This knowledge helps them live in supportive environments that nurture their skills and minds.
