AED90 Million Investment: Jafza Expands Logistics Park To Boost Dubai's Trade Infrastructure
In a significant move to boost its logistics offerings, Jafza has announced an investment of AED90 million into the second phase of its Logistics Park. This expansion introduces an additional 360,000 square feet of Grade-A facilities, underscoring the UAE's ambition to expand its logistics sector to an annual AED200 billion in the coming seven years.
The expansion delivers state-of-the-art infrastructure, including temperature-controlled warehouses, modern office spaces, customisable units, loading docks, and enhanced power capacity.

These features are designed to cater to a wide range of industries, from manufacturing and construction to logistics and e-commerce. The demand for such advanced warehousing and logistics solutions is on the rise, particularly in Dubai, where these sectors are experiencing rapid growth.
Abdulla Al Hashmi, Chief Operating Officer of Parks & Zones at DP World GCC, emphasized the strategic importance of this expansion. "The expansion of Jafza Logistics Park reflects our commitment to helping businesses compete globally and simultaneously drive foreign investment into Dubai," he stated.
Al Hashmi further highlighted the success of the Logistics Park's first phase, which was fully leased before its completion in November 2023. This initial phase, spanning 562,507 square feet, offered Grade-A dry and pharma storage units, temperature-controlled warehouses, and office spaces.
The strong demand for high-quality logistics and warehousing solutions demonstrated in Phase 1 has carried over into Phase 2, which aims to provide even more flexible, high-quality solutions to support growth across multiple sectors.
With the Logistics Park's total area now exceeding 922,000 square feet, Jafza is poised to meet the increasing demand for logistics services. The Middle East and Africa's freight and logistics market is projected to reach $235.8 billion by 2031, highlighting the critical need for robust logistics infrastructure.
Jafza's strategic investments and expansions play a crucial role in supporting Dubai's logistics sector, contributing significantly to the emirate's economy. Currently, Jafza hosts 10,890 companies from 150 countries, supporting over 160,000 jobs and facilitating AED620 billion in trade annually. This vast network of businesses and the comprehensive services offered by Jafza underscore the Free Zone's importance in bolstering Dubai's position in international trade and logistics.
