Integrated Transport Centre Achieves Two Gold Awards At Harvard Business Council International Awards 2025

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), linked with the Department of Municipalities and Transport, has been recognised for its smart transport initiatives. At the 2025 Harvard Business Council (HBC) International Awards, ITC secured two gold awards. These accolades were presented at the HBC AI & Innovation Convention & International Awards Ceremony in London, hosted by the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (RSA).

The ITC was celebrated in the Sustainability category for its "Green Buses Programme" and in the Community Contribution category for its "SALAMA School Transport Management System." The Green Buses Programme is a testament to ITC's dedication to low-emission transport solutions. This initiative aims to cut carbon dioxide emissions annually by introducing electric and hydrogen-powered buses, aligning with the goal of a fully green mobility zone by 2050.

ITC Wins Two Gold Awards in 2025

The "SALAMA School Transport Management System" exemplifies how artificial intelligence can be applied in transportation. This system prioritises student safety during commutes and integrates advanced technology with social responsibility. It aligns with UAE Centennial 2071 goals, showing significant social impact and fostering partnerships with key stakeholders.

Dr Abdulla Hamad AlGhfeli, Acting Director General of ITC, stated, "This international recognition highlights the impact of our work in sustainability and safety, and strengthens our commitment to developing smart mobility solutions that benefit the community and support Abu Dhabi’s long-term vision. We will continue to expand these initiatives in close collaboration with our partners to deliver lasting and meaningful results."

They highlight its dedication to using advanced technologies for community service while supporting national goals.
