Ireland's Healthcare Innovators To Showcase Solutions At Arab Health 2025 In The Middle East

Ireland is making waves at Arab Health 2025 with a delegation of 19 top Irish companies. Organised by Enterprise Ireland, the Irish national pavilion will feature a wide array of innovative medtech and digital healthcare solutions. This event underscores Ireland's leadership in healthcare innovation on a global scale.

The Gulf region has emerged as a vital hub for Irish trade, thanks to Ireland's collaborative approach in medtech and digital healthcare. Over the past 13 years, this sector has significantly contributed to the industry across GCC states. In 2023, Ireland's exports to the region reached €532.5 million, marking a 13% increase from the previous year.

Irish Healthcare Leaders at Arab Health 2025

According to Ireland's Central Statistics Office, exports to Saudi Arabia hit €465 million in the first half of 2023. This represents a 6% rise compared to the same period in 2022. Medical and pharmaceutical products are among the top exports, aligning with regional healthcare priorities and showcasing Ireland’s capabilities.

Many UAE doctors have trained through Ireland’s Royal College of Surgeons and Royal College of Physicians. Paramedics in Dubai Ambulance have also benefited from training provided by Ireland’s Health Service Executive and leading academic institutions. These connections highlight the shared commitment between Ireland and the UAE in advancing healthcare excellence.

Alison Milton, Ireland’s Ambassador to the UAE, stated, "The UAE and the wider Gulf region continue to be key markets for Ireland’s innovative healthcare companies, with our value going far beyond exports and official partnerships." She emphasised that Arab Health offers an unmatched platform for showcasing Irish expertise while fostering collaborations that enhance regional healthcare systems.

Giles O’Neill, Enterprise Ireland’s Regional Director for India, the Middle East, and Africa, noted that their presence at Arab Health underscores the Gulf region's importance as a dynamic market for Irish healthcare innovation. He highlighted that this year's delegation demonstrates Ireland's role in advancing healthcare across the Middle East.

O’Neill further explained that collaborations between Irish health innovators and UAE healthcare providers yield mutual benefits. By combining Ireland’s cutting-edge expertise with the UAE’s focus on improving patient outcomes and healthcare systems, both parties can achieve significant advancements.
