Iraqi Airways Partners With SITA To Upgrade Passenger And Baggage Systems

Iraqi Airways has renewed its partnership with SITA, a top provider of IT services in the air transport sector. This renewal aims to maintain innovation in passenger and baggage management systems, enhancing services for passengers on the Green Bird and other partner airlines.

Key to improving the travel experience will be the implementation of SITA's Flex Hybrid system. This system will speed up passenger processing at Baghdad and Basra airports. It provides staff with quick and secure access to airline systems and applications through cloud infrastructure, offering high flexibility and scalability to meet fluctuating demand.

SITA's Information Display System will also revamp Iraqi Airways' flight display systems. The new interface will keep travelers fully informed with automatic updates on changing flight departure or arrival times, ensuring they have the latest information.

Iraqi Airways will enhance its baggage management capabilities using SITA Bag Manager Online. This solution offers advanced visibility of each bag's journey by tracking every bag loaded onto a plane, ULD, or cart. It matches each bag with departing passengers, tracks them in real-time throughout the airport, and ensures they are loaded onto the correct plane. This gives passengers peace of mind and allows staff to focus on more complex tasks.
