Investopia To Host Inaugural Global Talks In Tashkent, Uzbekistan, In 2026
Investopia has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Uzbekistan's Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade. This agreement is to host the first Investopia Global Talks in Tashkent in 2026. The event will coincide with the Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF) 2026. Dr. Jean Fares, CEO of Investopia, and Shokhrukh Gulamov, Uzbekistan's Deputy Minister, signed the MoU.
The collaboration aims to create a significant platform for strengthening ties between business communities in the UAE, Uzbekistan, and Central Asia. Investopia – Tashkent will serve as a venue for exploring economic opportunities in new economy sectors across these regions. The initiative also seeks to promote public-private partnerships and direct investments into key sectors in both countries.

Mohammed Alhawi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Investment, highlighted the strong strategic ties between the UAE and Uzbekistan. He stated that through Investopia Global Talks in Tashkent, they aim to enhance economic collaboration and unlock new development avenues. This aligns with the 'We the UAE 2031' vision for sustainable growth.
Laziz Kudratov, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, noted that Tashkent will host the first Investopia Global Talks in Central Asia. He mentioned that this collaboration is a step toward positioning Uzbekistan as a key investment hub in the region. It will also build long-term market relations.
The Tashkent edition will bring together investors, decision-makers, and business leaders to explore opportunities in renewable energy, digital technologies, infrastructure, and agriculture. These sectors are crucial for Uzbekistan’s economic growth. Previous editions have been held in cities like Tokyo and Milan.
Dr. Jean Fares expressed confidence that Investopia – Tashkent will connect Asian business communities with ambitious opportunities. It aims to facilitate dialogue among business leaders and investors while exploring new pathways for enhancing mutual investment and trade flows.
Showcasing Investment Opportunities
The fourth edition of TIIF highlighted Uzbekistan’s investment prospects in energy, agriculture, industry, tourism, and infrastructure sectors. The forum attracted over 7,500 participants from more than 100 countries. Among them were nearly 3,000 guests of honour.
This partnership with TIIF is significant as it is one of Central Asia’s leading investment forums under the patronage of Uzbekistan's President. It makes an ideal partner for Investopia Global Talks by providing a platform to shape emerging trends in investment across the region.
