International Humanitarian And Philanthropic Council Unveils Impact Makers Initiative To Enhance Humanitarian Storytelling
H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, emphasised the shared responsibility of media institutions and digital content creators in enriching humanitarian content. This duty is crucial due to the UAE's leadership's support in equipping young Arab talent with advanced storytelling skills related to humanitarian and development work.
The "Impact Makers" initiative, launched by the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council with the New Media Academy, aims to enhance skills in creating digital media content focused on humanitarian and developmental work. It includes educational programmes and workshops designed to empower individuals to produce positive and influential content that addresses humanitarian issues.

Sheikh Theyab highlighted the importance of empowering individuals to create impactful content that raises community awareness through storytelling and effective media strategies. These efforts are particularly significant for initiatives providing essential services like healthcare and education, contributing to prosperity, stability, and security.
The initiative targets journalists, camera crews, and content creators from the UAE, Arab world, and beyond who specialise in humanitarian and developmental affairs. Its goal is to help them enhance their skills in telling humanitarian stories, preparing media content, and producing audio-visual programmes across various digital platforms creatively.
The "Impact Makers" initiative comprises several training modules. These include "Spokesperson Skills, Media Appearance, and Crisis Management in the Media," "Humanitarian Impact Journalism," and "Humanitarian Impact Content Creators." The latter will have two versions, one in collaboration with the Arab Youth Centre.
Sheikh Theyab noted that highlighting humanitarian efforts is crucial for community solidarity as they positively impact millions worldwide. He mentioned that the UAE implements significant humanitarian initiatives reflecting its leading global position.
Enhancing Corporate Reputation
The initiative also aims to train official spokespersons representing UAE-based humanitarian donor organisations and charitable associations in corporate reputation strategies and media crisis management. This training will help them effectively communicate their messages during challenging times.
The New Media Academy continues supporting content creators and social media influencers by enabling them to deliver their messages professionally. This contributes to social growth by ensuring that their content aligns with societal needs and expectations.
Through these efforts, the UAE seeks to foster a culture of storytelling that highlights its humanitarian contributions globally. By equipping individuals with necessary skills, it aims to ensure that impactful stories reach wider audiences effectively.
