Integrated Transport Centre Collaborates With Tatweer Middle East & Africa To Enhance Smart Mobility Solutions In Abu Dhabi

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) has entered into a research and development partnership with Tatweer Middle East & Africa during GITEX GLOBAL 2025. This collaboration aims to enhance Abu Dhabi's transport sector by developing innovative solutions for a smart mobility ecosystem. The agreement highlights Abu Dhabi’s commitment to adopting advanced technologies and promoting sustainable mobility.

Dr Abdulla Hamad AlGhfeli, Acting Director General of ITC, and Dr. Atef Garib, CEO of Tatweer Middle East & Africa, signed the agreement. Senior officials from both organisations attended the signing, emphasising their dedication to strategic partnerships that drive innovation and sustainability in transportation.

ITC and Tatweer Partner for Smart Mobility

The partnership will focus on research and development, technology transfer, and prototyping for intelligent transport systems. By leveraging AI, machine learning, and big-data analytics, the collaboration aims to improve network efficiency and road safety across Abu Dhabi. Field trials and stakeholder feedback will be integral to enhancing services.

Additionally, the agreement includes developing smart systems for road and parking management. These initiatives are designed to elevate performance standards and service quality while addressing future transportation needs in the Emirate.
