Integrated Transport Centre Unveils Autonomous Cleaning Vehicles To Enhance Public Hygiene In Abu Dhabi

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), part of the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), has introduced Robosweeper autonomous cleaning vehicles on Abu Dhabi's Corniche. This initiative, managed by K2 subsidiary Autogo under the Smart and Autonomous Systems Council's guidance, highlights the emirate's focus on innovative public facility management. The project is overseen by DMT, emphasising sustainable and intelligent solutions.

These Robosweepers utilise sensors and advanced navigation technologies to provide efficient cleaning and sanitisation services. They operate along pre-set routes without needing human intervention. Designed for urban settings like pavements and pedestrian areas, these units reduce dependency on manual labour while ensuring high standards of public hygiene.
