2nd Industrialists' Career Exhibition Set For April 2024 In Abu Dhabi
The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) and ADNOC are gearing up for the second edition of the Industrialists' Career Exhibition, scheduled for 22nd and 23rd April, 2024, at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre. This pivotal event, held in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) and the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), aims to further the achievements of its inaugural edition last year. The first exhibition saw significant participation from industrial firms, resulting in 505 job opportunities for Emirati talent across more than 73 companies, alongside numerous training opportunities through the ministry's partner training centres.
Omar Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary of MoIAT, highlighted the exhibition's role in aligning with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology's objectives. The ministry's commitment to boosting the UAE industrial sector's competitiveness and enhancing Emirati talent through training opportunities is evident. "The Industrialists Career Exhibition serves as a comprehensive platform that unites government partners, the private sector, training entities, and job seekers," Al Suwaidi stated. With the success of the first edition as a benchmark, the upcoming event aims to present over 600 new job opportunities and unique training prospects.

Al Suwaidi also commended the private sector's engagement level and their eagerness to provide job opportunities to Emirati talent, thereby supporting the industrial sector's growth. He emphasized the ministry's concerted efforts with partners to empower Emiratis by enhancing their technical skills and capabilities to meet the industry and advanced technology sectors' demands.
He urged UAE companies to participate in the career exhibition, offering opportunities that will bolster their role in enabling Emirati talent to enter the industrial private sector. This participation is crucial for enhancing the industry’s competitiveness and fostering sustainable economic growth.
To prepare for the upcoming fair, MoIAT will host information sessions on career and training opportunities from mid-March to early April. Additionally, MoIAT launched the Industrialists Programme in March 2023 under the National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme. This initiative supports the national industrial sector's growth and development by upskilling Emirati talent. It also enhances ICV companies' access to incentives and enablers, further contributing to the sector's robustness.
