INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions, part of UAE's INDEX Holding, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the British University in Egypt. This partnership aims to merge academic knowledge with professional skills in medical education, scientific research, and global event organisation. The collaboration seeks to create an integrated model that enhances both educational and professional landscapes.
The MoU was signed during an official visit by the INDEX Holding delegation to Cairo. This visit underscores strategic efforts to redefine the relationship between education and industry, particularly in the conference and events sector. The goal is to transform events into platforms for future development rather than just seasonal gatherings.

This agreement extends beyond a typical academic partnership. It embodies INDEX’s vision as a regional leader in exporting knowledge and expertise across the Arab world. By combining academic depth with professional expertise, this collaboration aims to drive significant impact in the region.
The signing ceremony took place at the British University in Egypt’s headquarters. Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, Roving Ambassador of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) for the GCC Region and Chairman of INDEX Holding, attended alongside Dr. Tarek Abbas, Vice President of the British University in Egypt. Several esteemed professors from the university’s medical and pharmaceutical faculties were also present.
Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani highlighted the importance of this collaboration, stating that it opens new horizons for fruitful partnerships. He emphasised that this reflects the UAE’s leading role and its national institutions' commitment to supporting health and education efforts both regionally and globally.
Dr. Tarek Abbas stressed the strategic significance of partnering with INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions. He noted that signing this MoU marks a pivotal step towards expanding regional and international cooperation in medical education, training, and continuous professional development.
This collaboration aims to reshape how education interacts with industry sectors like conferences and events. By doing so, it hopes to create lasting platforms for growth rather than temporary occasions.
