International Conference On Library And Information Sciences Highlights AI's Role In Future Development

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library and Al Wasl University recently wrapped up the first International Conference on Library and Information Sciences. The event, themed "Library and Information Sciences in the Academic Map: Between the Challenges of Artificial Intelligence and Data Sciences," was held over two days. It attracted a large audience, highlighting the growing interest in the future of libraries.

Over 30 expert speakers and 400 participants, including officials, professionals, academics, and students, attended both in person and via Teams. The diverse attendance, especially among young people, underscored their keen interest in shaping library sciences' future. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Abdulrahman, Chancellor of Al Wasl University, stated that the conference marked a significant step towards integrating AI tools into library sciences.
