Dubai Welcomes Inaugural Premier Padel P1 Tournament Featuring Top Global Players
Dubai is gearing up to host its inaugural Premier Padel P1 tournament from 3rd to 10th November at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium. This event promises a week of top-tier padel action, featuring elite male and female players vying for a prize pool of AED1.8 million.
The competition will showcase 256 leading players globally, including stars like Arturo Coello, Ariana Sanchez Fallada, and Juan Lebron. They will compete across six specially designed courts at the venue. Fernando Belasteguin, considered the greatest in padel history, will make his final UAE appearance before retiring this season.

Padel has seen remarkable growth worldwide, with over 25 million enthusiasts in 90 countries. The sport's expansion is particularly notable in the Middle East. In 2023, the UAE Padel Association reported having 155 clubs and 620 courts, marking a more than 13 percent increase from 2022. The region boasts over 1,900 registered players.
The UAE has already hosted significant padel events, such as the FIP World Padel Championships in 2022. The upcoming Dubai Premier Padel P1 competition adds to this list. Across Asia, there are more than 3,200 padel courts, with an impressive 85 percent located in the Middle East. Saudi Arabia leads with 320 clubs.
Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez will also participate in this inaugural event. Earlier this year, they made history by winning their 33rd World Tour title together, becoming the most successful female duo in padel history.
This tournament offers a unique opportunity for fans to witness top-level padel action and celebrate the sport's growing influence in the region. With its increasing popularity and infrastructure development, padel continues to captivate audiences across the Middle East.
