Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Highlights Importance Of Joint Arab Efforts To Convey Regional Message

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, highlighted the need for unified Arab efforts to convey the region's message globally. He stressed that this message is based on peace and empowering people to build a stable, progressive, and prosperous future. His remarks were made during a meeting with Arab information ministers at the Arab Media Summit in Dubai.

The summit, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, was attended by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. During this meeting, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed discussed with the ministers the future of Arab media, emphasizing the need for enhanced cooperation on critical regional issues.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed on Arab Cooperation

H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed underscored the media's crucial role in shaping narratives that benefit the Arab region and its people. He affirmed UAE's support for media professionals under President H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's leadership. This support reflects a belief in media as a partner in sustainable development, capable of driving social change and progress.

The Arab information ministers expressed gratitude for UAE’s significant contributions to supporting Arab causes both regionally and internationally. They praised UAE’s impactful projects aimed at advancing human progress and serving broader Arab interests. Among these initiatives is the Arab Media Summit in Dubai, which fosters dialogue among media leaders and industry figures.

The summit aims to create a clear vision for the media sector's future while affirming its positive impact on an Arab renaissance. It seeks to mobilise efforts towards regional progress and prosperity. The meeting included Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office; Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Bahrain’s Minister of Information; Paul Morcos, Lebanon’s Minister of Information; and Mona Ghanem Al Marri from Dubai Media Council.

The discussions also focused on how intensified cooperation can address critical issues affecting the region and its people effectively. The ministers acknowledged UAE's leading role in promoting dialogue through initiatives like the Arab Media Summit.

The summit serves as a platform for developing strategies that enhance media’s role in fostering regional development and stability. By bringing together key figures from across the region, it aims to shape a future marked by progress and prosperity for all Arabs.
