IDEX And NAVDEX 2025 To Launch On February 17 Under UAE President's Patronage

The International Defence Exhibition (IDEX) and the Naval Defence Exhibition (NAVDEX) 2025 are set to occur from February 17-21. These events, organised by the Ministry of Defence in collaboration with ADNEC Group, will be held under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The exhibitions are globally recognised and eagerly awaited in the defence sector.

These exhibitions provide a crucial platform for networking with investors, forming new partnerships, and engaging with industry leaders. They bring together top government officials, executives, and experts from the defence and security sectors worldwide. The events also include the International Defence Conference.

IDEX and NAVDEX 2025 Launch on February 17

Staff Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Higher Organising Committee for IDEX and NAVDEX, expressed confidence in these events' success. He stated: "Hosting and organising major exhibitions such as IDEX & NAVDEX has reinforced Abu Dhabi's position as a leading global destination for the defence and military industries. We are confident that these events will continue to achieve remarkable success, reflecting our commitment to building a more prosperous and secure future for the world by advancing a shared vision of maintaining global stability and security."

The UAE leadership strongly supports national defence and security industries. Staff Major General Mubarak Saeed Ghafan Al Jabri highlighted this support, noting its alignment with UAE's aspirations for leadership. He said: "The national defence and security industries sector enjoys unlimited support from the UAE leadership who seeks to enhance the capabilities of national defence industries as a vital field aligned with the UAE's aspirations for leadership and excellence."

Al Jabri also emphasised that IDEX & NAVDEX 2025 positions the country as a global hub for specialised companies in this sector. He added: "These exhibitions serve as a platform to strengthen cooperation and strategic partnerships with major global companies, contributing to attracting more investments that form a key pillar in supporting the national economy, achieving sustainable development, and building competitive industrial capabilities in accordance with the highest international standards."

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, Managing Director & Group CEO of ADNEC Group, anticipates significant growth for IDEX and NAVDEX 2025. He remarked: "We anticipate that the upcoming editions of IDEX and NAVDEX will be the largest and most significant in the history of the two events. NAVDEX remains pivotal as it is recognised as the largest maritime defence exhibition in MENA. It focuses on maritime security advancements towards ensuring safer futures.

Past Achievements Highlight Future Potential

The 16th edition of IDEX 2023 alongside NAVDEX 2023 saw immense success at ADNEC Abu Dhabi. These exhibitions drew 132,507 participants featuring 41 international pavilions with participation from 1,353 exhibitors across 65 countries.

IDEX NEXT_GEN was introduced during these editions providing space for over 100 startups globally while IDEX Think_Tank hosted sessions under private partner supervision resulting in impactful strategic reports.

The Ministry of Defence alongside ADNEC Group prioritises supporting vital sectors like defence which bolster UAE’s economy significantly enhancing its strength.
