ICAO Symposium 2025: Shaping Aviation's Future

Salvatore Sciacchitano, ICAO Council President, highlighted that "The ICAO Global Implementation Support Symposium (GISS) 2025 will bring together states, industry leaders, and stakeholders to shape the future of aviation. This symposium will focus on two critical areas transforming the industry: sustainability and artificial intelligence, while ensuring the safety and security of aviation operations."

The symposium aims to address sustainability beyond environmental impacts. It includes economic viability and operational efficiency. Discussions will cover regulatory changes, global standards, and integrating new technologies safely into aviation operations.

An exhibition accompanying the symposium will feature 75 global companies specialising in aviation, energy, and advanced technologies. This platform offers insights into innovative solutions driving sustainability in these sectors.

Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Chairman of GCAA Board, stated: "Hosting the UAE of these major and influential international events in the civil aviation sector reflects its pioneering position at both the regional and global levels." He hopes these events will foster new programs supporting international efforts to develop civil aviation sustainably.
